Question of the Day: Why is it easier for some people to live online lives rather than real life lives?

Ok so this question comes from my girlfriend as she's given me this question to address for the QoD.

Why is it easier for some people to live online lives rather than real life lives?

Real life sucks, that's why.....THE END.

No but seriously lol..people do tend to be more drawn to an online life rather than their own personal lives because it's their escape from reality. In the real world, you're "You" but in the online community you can be anybody you want. It has also made communication a lot more efficient (especially for those who are anit-social). The whole online craze has gotten ridiculous over the years not only with social networking but with games too...I personally think the SIMS games are fcuking retarded, I'm sitting here controling a character in a video game reading a magazine and taking a sh!t ( things i'd much rather do in real life lol) but some people go crazy for those kinds of games, and most people just find it easier to endulge in the "net craze" because their life is just unsatisfying and they need a little excitement, or they just need another way of connecting with others

Now in terms of making things easier, yeah sure this is true but whether it's beneficial to the average individual is a matter of personal preference i guess, for example...you could have a million friends on facebook if you wanted to and all it would have to take is a few clicks of your mouse (easy friend making system within seconds) but i guess the real question one has to ask is, Can a person really live with only having online friends, would a person get more satisfaction out of getting a job in "Sims" than in real life? I would hope not.

Ok so we may not be professional experts but we've been around the game long enough to know how it's played. What started off as weekly gathering to Burger King and having random discussion on our relationship problems, and dating experiences, eventually evolved into an idea to voice or opinion and incite to help other teens with their potential problems whether it's dealing with realtionships, dating, sex, bullies, racism...etc. We're here to give a male perspective on these issues and have a shitload of fun doing so.
